Function overview
Software
To make sure that the APIS IQ-Software meets your requirements for a modern, structured approach, we listed the most important functions for you: Structured according to the traditional 5-step method, the new 7-steps of AIAG/VDA 2019, or easily searchable in a list.

- Results Documentation
Results documentation 1: Management report
The management report makes it quick and easy to create regular status reports for management.
Results documentation 2: Web Publisher
For simplified, internal use and distribution, file content can be exported via HTML and made available for viewing e. g. via an intranet.
Results documentation 3: Cover sheets
Templates for cover sheets, which can be automatically filled with important project data, make it easier for you to communicate your results to the customer.
Interface to the LDAP server
People can be imported via the LDAP interface. It is also required for verified authentication, e.g. in the audit trail.
Scope of the FMEA
Based on a matrix, the "planning and preparation" step of an FMEA is supported.
Design for Six Sigma (PwC, HoQ)
The editors "Pairwise Comparison" (PwC) and "House of Quality" (HoQ) support the path to robust design.
Audit trail
The audit trail enables continuous traceability of changes, including an approval process.
Parameter diagram
Focused on one function, the recording of information - such as input, output, disturbance variables, etc. - is possible.
Block diagram
Using imported graphics, defined areas can be assigned to IQ objects and transferred to structure trees.
Mechatronics-FMEA
The mechatronic FMEA makes it possible to display safety mechanisms in a fault network.
Functional Safety (IEC 61508/ISO 26262)
... enables the calculation of failure rates in accordance with IEC 61508 and ISO 26262.
CARM-Server interface
The CARM-Server enables central data storage and promotes standardized and efficient FMEA creation.
Cause-and-effect diagram
An Ishikawa diagram can also be selected for the cause-effect chains.
Unicode and Asian languages
The PRO versions support Unicode. This means that Chinese/Mandarin (simplified and traditional), Japanese and Korean are available for data content and operating language.
ANSI and multi-language support
Each IQ enables data to be edited in ANSI and offers several operating languages. The user interface and data can be displayed simultaneously in two different languages.
Terminology check
The Data Manager makes it easier to manage the terms used in the catalog - especially in several languages.
Team communication (e-mail, internet)
The APIS IQ-Software conveniently supports the notification of responsible persons by e-mail.
Simultaneous Engineering
... allows working on the same document in a distributed manner and the option of consolidating different databases.
User-defined view
... enables an individual, tabular display of objects in the data structure with flexible attribute selection.
Object Inspector
... facilitates the entry of objects and attributes, as well as the display of variant-specific information.
Statistical evaluations (Pareto, etc.)
... provides graphics for parameters in the FMEA, e.g. Pareto, difference analysis, action tracking, etc.
Deadline tracking
The deadline tracking lists the person responsible, the deadline and other additional information for each measure.
Design Review Based on Failure Mode (DRBFM)
With the DRBFM form, the DRBFM working method is supported by the IQ software.
FMEA (AIAG/VDA, MSR, Mil, etc.)
The FMEA form editor supports common form layouts (AIAG, VDA, MIL, etc.)
Fault tree calculation
... illustrates the relationships between failures using logical operators and enables the calculation of failure probabilities.
Function nets (net editors, graph editor)
The causality relationship of functions is represented in function nets.
Failure nets (net editors, graph editor)
The causality relationship of failures is represented in the failure net. For simplification, function nets can be created automatically from failure nets.
Control Plan (CP)
In the RM expansion stages of the APIS IQ software, it is possible to create control plans.
Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
The PFD shows the sequence of the individual process steps as a flow chart.
Customer requirements management
Requirements can be displayed here in a tree structure and linked to FMEA objects.
System structure
The Structure Editor displays the system structure as a tree.
